Dr Abinash Biswal is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Advanced Powertrain and Fuels (CAPF) at Brunel University London. His work centres on low- and zero-carbon combustion technologies, with particular expertise in hydrogen and ammonia engines, alternative fuels and nanobubble-enhanced fuels. He has strong experience in advanced optical diagnostics, high-pressure fuel injection systems and the development of bespoke nanobubble generation platforms. Dr Biswal contributes to several UKRI and Innovate UK programmes and collaborates closely with academic and industrial partners. He completed his Master’s and PhD at IIT Hyderabad, and his current research focuses on developing next-generation hydrogen and ammonia fuels for future clean engine applications.

Research Projects:

  1. Advanced fuel and propulsion technologies for future low/zero carbon transport

  2. Nanobubbles and their application in fuels 2. Clean Maritime Propulsion via Direct Seawater Electrolysis and Ambient Hydrogen Storage

  3. Propulsion Via Direct Seawater Electrolysis and Ambient Hydrogen Storage.
