Ahmed Qadri is a researcher specialising in Sustainable Aviation Fuels, high-pressure spray dynamics, and advanced optical diagnostics within Constant-Volume Combustion Chamber (CVCC) environments at Brunel University London. His work focuses on injection behaviour, atomisation physics, droplet vaporisation, and ignition-relevant processes to support the development of cleaner and more efficient advanced propulsion systems. He aims to advance next-generation combustion technologies through rigorous experimentation, high-speed imaging, and multidisciplinary engineering.
Research Projects:
High-Pressure Spray Characterisation and Optical Diagnostics for Advanced Propulsion Systems
Experimental Investigation of High-Pressure Oxymethylene ether (OME1) –Diesel (25% OME1 Blend) Sprays at Different Injection Pressures in a Constant Volume Chamber
Development of optical imaging workflows for droplet and spray characterisation
Experimental investigation of ignition-relevant spray behaviour
CVCC preparation, calibration, and diagnostic setup optimisation
Future PhD research on advanced propulsion-relevant spray and combustion processes
Experimental development of high-speed imaging and optical diagnostic techniques
Collaborative work on combustion chamber testing and system configuration
