The TOWB 012g test bay is equipped with a 2 L single-cylinder Diesel Dual Fuel internal combustion engine coupled to a 150 AG Froude Eddy Current Dynamometer and a HORIBA Emission Analyser for direct measurement of exhaust gases. The facility also includes a complete conditioning system for engine cooling and lubrication, with components fully compatible with the engine specifications. Additionally, the test bay is equipped with Diesel, Ammonia and LPG Fuelling lines for direct and port fuel injections (DI and PFI) and testing.

The test cell control system consists of four integrated subsystems:

  • Utility Control

  • Data Acquisition (DAQ) System (NI USB 6353, NI USB 6218, NI USB 6210)

  • ECE Engine Control Electronics GmbH ECU-CR.8

  • Safety System

These systems operate together to ensure precise and safe control of the test cell, engine, and dynamometer under a unified platform.
